A life-​sized replica of artist Anna Baumgart's room was set up on the small stage of TR Warszawa: her window, bed, also the street sounds. The artist was invit­ing a solitary spec­ta­tor to spend a night in her bed­room and expe­ri­ence the con­di­tion of sleep­less­ness. The spectator/actor trapped in this real­ity was sup­posed not to sleep and not to leave the room before the night was over. She/he was able to con­sult the artist's pri­vate archives on her com­puter or call her friends, touch her art works. The action was not only taking place at an unusual time of the day, and in a deserted the­atre, but also at a symbolic time of year – from Christ­mas through New Year's Day – when cul­tural insti­tu­tions are closed and people are busy with their pri­vate lives. During the project the room has under­gone minor changes.
