Join us for an evening of Polish Futur­ist the­atre, poetry, man­i­festoes, and art. Cen­tered upon a 30-minute con­tem­po­rary per­for­mance piece based on excerpts from Bruno Jasienski’s avant-​garde play “Mannequins’ Ball” (1930), con­ceived and directed by American/British the­atre direc­tor and chore­o­g­ra­pher Alli­son Troup-​Jensen and her COUN­TER­POINT the­ater com­pany, the evening will also fea­ture addi­tional con­tri­bu­tions and inter­ven­tions by Joanna Warsza, the­ater cura­tor and pro­ducer at the Laura Palmer Foun­da­tion, Warsaw, and Marek Barte­lik, Pro­fes­sor of Art His­tory, Cooper Union, as well as a brief panel dis­cus­sion mod­er­ated by Pro­fes­sor Daniel Ger­ould, CUNY.
